Terry Odom and his wife, Laurie, regularly attended CGGS meetings, in person and online. Terry and Laurie were also regular attendees of the CGGS DNA Focus Group meetings. Because of Terry’s deep passion for genealogy and his love of history, especially those rooted in his beloved Reidsville community, Terry and Laurie shared countless adventures traveling together in search of the past. His dedication to preserving his family’s history, often included researching at the small old Reidsville jail that became their historical archives. A highlight of his genealogical journey and powerful connection to his roots. was visiting the original log cabin on a distant relative’s property of his 2nd great-grandfather.
Terry's legacy and knack for storytelling will live on in his family’s history that he worked so diligently to preserve, along with the memories he shared with those who knew and loved him.

Bill and his wife, Dianne enjoyed researching their families’ history together and discovering interesting facts about their ancestor's lives. Once introduced to genealogy, Bill took to it quickly and even found DNA research very informative. He often participated in the CGGS DNA monthly focus group meeting. For Bill, the most rewarding aspect of his research was finding his ancestor, Philip Condit, Sr, who participated in the American Revolution and discovering a connection to the Huguenot Society through his ancestor, Guillaime Fuqua.
Bill was a proud member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Ocmulgee Chapter, and served as the chapter's President and Registrar.
